IP Changed on server but woltlab redirects back to the old address

  • I'm trying to set up woltlab on ubuntu 18.04. Everything was working until I changed the IP of the server. All the default apache pages are accessible through the new IP but any woltlab pages are redirecting themselves back to the old IP.

I'm guessing this is because woltlab has the old IP set as the URL where the pages are available. Is it possible to change this somewhere in the files?

  • No, because those files will be auto generated. You need to change it in the database to be persistent. And to change those IPs head to your ACP and look for the configured domain, I suppose you entered IPs there, and update that information. This will change the database and generate new files.

P.S.: The ACP is reachable via direct URL access: http://<yourdomain>/acp/

I've changed the IP in the acp now but when I go to the page it still redirects me back to the old IP.

Browsers are pretty stubborn when it comes to cached redirects, clearing the cache will most likely get rid of the faulty redirect.
