Surely this is something I can do myself jacboy? Could you be more specific as to which directory contents I should delete? public_html?
At the moment it has created a backup directory within the home directory.

I have no idea how this happened as I followed the guide to the letter. I also had to delete plugins that couldn't be updated or I couldn't find a server address for on the basis of reinstalling them after the upgrade.
Most of the upgrade was successful, but it got stuck on the Importer module which I don't use/need anyway. I wish I had deleted that plugin now.
This is very disappointing and I have deleted the contents of the public_html directory and am uploading a backup through the CPanel restore feature. I haven't yet deleted the old database, which maybe I should have done first. I have a backup of the wcf database though.
If this doesn't work, perhaps I should decompress the backup .gz folder and upload manually through an ftp like Filezilla.

Thanks for that but those are the versions that I was trying to upgrade to, but the forum is now broken and I can't perform admin tasks.
