Add 'Delete' option in 'Edit Blog' option

  • Blogs can only be deleted if they contain no articles anymore. While images in the gallery can exist without an album, articles require a blog.

    Hi @Matthias Schmidt,

It's a little complex predict this explanation. I've been searching the delete button and I didn't know how to find it. The solution can be a confirmation message similar to: "Do you really want to delete this blog? This action will delete the blog and all entries."

  • Actually would be better or nicer to have 2 options available there...

    1) Delete Blog along with all the articles within that blog
    2) Delete Blog and send articles to "Uncategorized" blog

Now, uncategorized blog would also be nice feature to have, this is where deleted blog's articles go, or just random blog articles that don't really fit into any other blog's in general. Uncategorized blog is just a "storage unit" type blog that holds the articles not really assigned to anything at all, or the fall back blog for when blogs get deleted. Uncategorized blog can really never be deleted either, but yet have possible ability to delete all articles within it (mass delete options).

Example, say John created 100 plus articles and rather than spend hours upon hours editing articles and re-assigning them to new different blogs, he can just delete the whole blog and choose "Delete Blog and send articles to "Uncategorized" blog" which then sends the articles to "Uncategorized" blog for time being, and he can edit and reassign those articles later, not wait hours and hours until he edits them all first (just to delete a blog).

Example 2: If John has 100 plus articles in a specific blog, but doesn't give a damn if the articles were all deleted or not, he can or could just choose "Delete Blog along with all the articles within that blog", done deal. John goes about his merry way, making new blogs or articles or jerking to porn.

Edit: Just putting link to this by @Aethior before: "Uncategorized" category similar to Wordpress (also for filebase and galery)

  • Thinking about this... The same happens in Burning Board: when you delete a board all threads and posts are deleted (It's a known and predictable action). What is the more easy solution? Bulk processing of entries.
