Hey Daniel Now THAT was supersonic - 8Minutes
Its very depressing seeing these type of threads time and time again... Lets face it, it aint going to happen with the current situation is it? Looking on the Support Forum of Woltlab and this Community under the English and its a ghost town...a real mess and a real shame. Its pretty damb obvious that bringing two language communities together was not a good idea and caused the death of the English wBB interaction. Revert back to seperate language sites (like the old days) Document the APIs for ...

Well, since no-one is willing to reply, I will continue... On the "Extensions" or "Addons" Page, what ever you want to call it are the following spelling mistakes: Usefull stuff => Usefull only has one "l" => Useful (and your better off getting rid of "stuff"; a bag of toilet rolls is an example of useful "stuff" Even completely independed standalone application that also have the basis WCF can be found here ?? I do not understand what that means faszinating => fasinating Project author => Proje...
Guys, this is not about me here, I did not ask you to explain it to me, its about the failing English Community, give them the info/descriptions/words (as I posted in the first post) to be able to contribute and they will, give them nothing and you will get nothing... I would have hoped things would have changed for the better towards the English Community but naa...no-one driving it. Shame.
Thanks Daniel, reading the other threads, there seems to be no resolution or outcome of the issue...was it discussed between the Team as you wrote in that Thread?
I am just on about translations.... Maybe a link by each download for each missing language which would send a request to the writer for translation "permission"? Also, sooner or later, you will have thousands of Downloads and no-one updates them...depending on the current version of the WCF / WBB etc... (Only for the German Community as the English is pretty empty anyway - sorry, had to add that one )
If the License of an Upload is GPL/LGPL, could you not then add an EDIT for registered Users?? Makes more sense for others to extend those Uploads for the Community.
Then please please make the prefixes only visable to Team Members and not Users. Otherwise you will be putting Users off posting again. Quoted from "Troublegum" Lazy? Well, I wouldn't want to search for the duplicate thread. And I don't have to. One could call that lazy, yes. Yes, thats correct.
Someone (assuming that a Member of the Team has made the change) marked this thread as a "Duplicate" With that in mind, there is no explanation, links or feedback to be given back to the thread, therefore leaving the thread owner still nun the wiser as to the reason why its a duplicate. To be honest, its downright lazy. I hope that helps
And what was the outcome of the post that had the same issue as this thread? Marking a thread as "Duplicate" is great but still does not answer anything... Where is the duplicates? What was the planned resolution of the issue? Has the issue been resolved? A Link maybe? Come on Team, do something for your titles
When you navigate to the Extensions / Addons main page, all categories are listed with totals. When you click a category, you are immediatly confused because totals show one number but what is displayed is another. Please see screenshot, example for "Usefull stuff (8)" which in effect is only "1" I understand about the uploads not having an english description but the category totals should reflect what is available in the DB per language. Can the totals reflect the "Language" of the upload?
Quoted from "Synoxis" btw. You're back? Just passing through - PN bei dir
Thanks Troublegum for taking the time to help me out with the questions I asked I sorta guessed about the English side of things Would be nice though if something was included say as a seperate page to describe the Uploads etc ? Looking at the English side of things...looks pretty empty..
See screenshot I think the Button on the Addons / Extensions Page needs translating to English
What I think is needed here is some guidance on how people can provide for the Community, help with supporting others, FAQs and Howtos etc. I mean if someone has uploaded an addon in German, and you want to translate it, do you just upload the same application in English? Is there an option to provide a Support Forum per upload? What are the minimum requirements for an upload? Are the uploads checked by the Community Team before they are released? ....... FAQs for Uploads/Support Howto's for sma...
In the Header, (please see attached screenshots) If you click "Forum", the button to the left of it is called "Extensions" If you click the "Extensions" button, the button changes to "Addons"
